We grew up eating at local hotels in Tirunelveli — the kind of places where the food is incredible but the owners are still managing orders through phone calls and WhatsApp messages.
We saw a real problem: big food delivery platforms were charging restaurants 25–35% commission on every order, which was eating into the already thin margins of small local restaurants.
So we built Virundhu — a platform dedicated entirely to Tirunelveli, where restaurants pay a simple monthly subscription and keep 100% of their order revenue.
